LITF - THE BOUQUET - Dartmouth Players - NOVA SCOTIA Thursday, May 17 7 pm $18 "The Bouquet" explores how a woman, Maggie Ryan, struggles to determine what constitutes a meaningful apology for harm done to her. When she awakes in a hospital with no memory of why she is there, she discovers her roguish husband holding a bouquet. Her assumption that he is trying to atone for yet another transgression is tested when her indignant daughter locks horns with a doctor and a lawyer in an attempt to uphold her mother's rights. As the events unfold, Maggie is forced to ponder both the nature of apologies and forgiveness. "The Bouquet" was honoured at the 2012 Robert Merritt Awards for winning second place in the unproduced play category of the Writers' Federation of Nova Scotia's Atlantic Writing Competition.
